Big Day
Well, older and wiser he certainly is. And he likes everyone to know just how wise he actually is. All the time. And just how silly we all are (although, to be fair, that part's not all that hard).
The CEO is now 3.
Happy Birthday, Big Chap.
The day started with him yelling "Daaaaaady" at the top of his voice. At 6am. He was hiding under his covers.
"you're not going back to sleep are you?" I asked.
"Nope" he answered.
So that was it. Up. At the crack of dawn.
He really wanted a bike. Like, really wanted a bike. So we got him one. And a helmet. Lucky him. He loved it. (And the test drive went well, on all accounts - i was at work. Only one minor crash.)
He was spoilt rotten by his grandparents, uncles and friends. Of course. And he has a party to look forward to on Saturday. So do I. A house full of chocolate fuelled toddlers charging around. I can't wait.
3 years, big guy... 3 years of sleepless nights, 3 years of 'eventful' dinner. 3 years of the terrible 2's. 3 years of being skint. But most of all, 3 years of brilliant fun. And huge hugs. The best 3 years. Ever.
