The Humble Administrator's Garden

Some of the highlights of our trip to China were the classical gardens for which the region south of the Yangtze is famous. This one, given UNESCO world heritage status in 1997, is one of the finest andnmost famous. It was busy when we visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon, but despite that the sound of birdsong predominated.
