Ruby Tiger Moth
Otherwise known as Phragmatobia fuliginosa. This was sunbathing in the garden this afternoon. I have never seen one before but they are common.
Busy day for N and T sorting out the Hereford herd. The vet came to test and castrate so they had to be rounded up in the yard and put through the cattle crush. They also took the opportunity to eartag some of the baby calves. A few of the older ones were weaned so our bedroom windows will be closed tonight facing the yard. They will calm down in a couple of days.
