April Challenge #12: Stairs

Are these stairs or steps? I'm not clear on definition. I guess most people would say stairs are inside a building and steps outside. If I'm bending any unwritten rules, so be it.

These 'stairs' are known locally as the 39 steps, although I don't think there are actually 39. I haven't counted them, I can't be arsed. They lead up to the local church, which you can view here. The church was built in the 12th century so I am guessing that the steps in today's blip are as old as the church.
