These are our tomato plants. I love watching them grow and even when they are just small plants they have that lovely greenhouse tomato smell. I always have plenty of basil so I just need plenty of sunshine for my salad days. My best tomato salad recipe is: take a dozen or so cherry tomatoes, carefully remove the thinnest slice from the top and remove the seeds from inside the tomato. Brush 2 basil leaves for each tomato with good olive oil and place inside each tomato pushing the leaves to the sides. Either chop up some mozzella or buy the pearls (easiest!) and push into the tomato. There you have individual salads and they are very tasty too.
