Pink Tanks are Tougher

This was just next to our hotel. When the soviets invaded they renamed this square, Soviet Tank Crew Square, in honour of those brave Soviet Tank Crews. And they put a Tank on a pedestal here.

Then in the ealry 90's, (I think) a local artist painted it pink. Make it seem less oppressive. He got into a lot of trouble and went to prison for it. Since then, the square has been returned to it's orginal name and the tank removed. This piece of tank is now there a wee reminder. I liked it.

Wonder if MrsEg would mind if I got one for our front garden?

It's our second wedding anniversary today, and we had to go home as well. Another crap meal but more good beer. Staropramen Granat! mmmm....

Also went to 3 art galleries! - Dali, Muchas and Saudek (the latter was excellent if a bit challenging!)
