Woods on Dartmoor

After a lazy morning at Mill House (reading, crabbing, coffee) we went for a shortish walk on Dartmoor.
Dartmoor's rugged terrain makes it very hard for any trees to grow. Mosses however do very well. It was a very varied walk, over the hills (meeting a few Dartmoor ponies, to the girls delight) and back trough the valley cut out by the Dart river. All this in unlike moor weather: sun!
