The Wieliczka Salt Mine.

Now I was very excited about this place, it was documented to be amongst the wonders of the world (which I'm sure it could be if you saw it all) But... all I saw was something that was very over touristerised. Yes that is a made up word.

We visit 30 of the possible 2300 something chambers going down to 135m below the surface. The chambers include cathedrals, bars, displays and sculptures all made from rock salt, but its not till half way through the tour when they started trying to sell me stuff I got annoyed. There was four places on the tour to buy souvenirs. And the main chambers they tried to make look cool by putting on lighting shows which basically meant you couldn't take photos because it was to dark. (They also charged an extra fee to take photos which some people didn't pay.)

It may sound petty but I fell we saw something amazing that was hidden behind something very shit.
