Presbyopia

Aye, finally I've succumbed to the ageing process. Where once youthful eyes could accommodate both natural long-sightedness and the need to focus at small or close writing, these old eyes will now enjoy a bit of Oakley encased assistance (or Ray Ban depending on whether I'm at home or in the office). The test was great fun though and the optometrist (when did they stop being opticians?) was great at explaining what was going on with my eyes and how my left eye is more long-sighted than my right, how I don't have diabetes and how my retina looks good. All good to hear.

And I got another good soaking on the way back to the airport, which is always a treat.
