Happy Houses

One of the prettiest streets in my neighbourhood, and I'm not quite sure how they managed it.

In this part of town, there are strict rules about what you can do with your house. I remember many years ago somebody painted their house a rather lovely pink, but were ordered to return it to the original brick colour.

For some reason, this one block, and only this one block has an array of colourfully painted houses. Reminds me a little of San Francisco. You can see that one block down the houses revert to standard fare.
