Cath outside the caff

My friend Cath invited me to join her at the press view of "Cold War Modern" at the V&A, this gave me a chance to catch up with her legal training, plus exchange idle gossip and scurrulous rumour about friends and former colleagues.

David Aaronovitz was also there with his daughter and we exchanged a few words about redundancies at The Times, which David professed not to have noticed, leader writers being fairly immune.
