Koivu

Koivu (coy-voo) is the Finnish (Suomi) word for the national tree of Finland, the silver birch. We're seeing a lot of these on our trip, and hoping that at some point we will see a Great Grey Owl in one. We've seen several Whooper Swan today, the national bird of Finland, made famous by Sibelius's tone poem, the Swan of Tuonela .
