Old and new in the old village
A mix of old walls, curling shadows and new technology in one of the narrow streets in the oldest part of the village. A nearby house has the date 1625 carved into a stone in its wall and the original walls built into the ramparts are probably hundreds of years older than that. I don't like the satellite dishes and the air-con units, but I suppose each new stage has attracted disapproval from residents of the time. I do like the wires...I've learned to live with them and appreciate them for the interest they add to the shadows and the view.
