Swan on the run

Today I saw this swan causing havock on a pretty busy road. Didn't know what to do, so seeming to be the only concerned by stander a the bus stop I called 999. This was probably not what I should of done but I didn't fancy chasing it out the road and I don't know any animal rescue or traffic police numbers from memory so thought this was the best plan of attcke. And of course I also had to blip.
