After Robert Adams
A photographer whose work I greatly admire has done volumes of work in black and white film depicting ravaged areas of the west, of suburbs, of mining regions and of course more. A small volume that encompasses some of his philosophy suggested that city empty lots would be a good photography subject. I am drawn to that idea but I have not yet engaged and taken it on.
This lot is in our neighborhood, cleared for a project that has not yet happened. My kid self would have cut an opening in the fencing so as to create secret forts and other such make believe worlds.
