How are the mighty fallen?

Today we drove past what passes for the market. For several weeks/months I have never seen more than 2-3 stalls. Today, market day(?), I saw nary a one.
The nearest we now come to a multiplicity of markets (As in 1787), is the fact that there is, supposedly, a farmers' market every third Tuesday, though I have to admit that, since we retired from the shop I'm rarely downtown on Tuesday.
Evidence of an agricultural heritage can be seen over James & John Graham's establishment (1793 or 95 hard to read photo). They claim to be ''Agricultural Seed, Cake and Manure Merchants.''
