Easter comedy
Enjoyed another leisurely start to the day. Spent the afternoon working on the last set of curtains for the front room. They have been tricky - taking apart and joining two sets of ready-made curtains to form one very wide set for a bay window. Of course, nothing matches, the pattern isn't in register with the grain of the fabric and they are tricky to handle as each curtain is 4 m wide....getting there though.
All four of us went down to Bournemouth to see Dara O Briain in the evening. Bournemouth was the nearest venue that still had tickets when we booked in September. It was a good evening and well worth the trip.
The staff at the BIC were very officious at the bar. The small can of ready mixed G&T we'd ordered wouldn't all fit in a plastic glass. They refused to let us take the very small can to a nearby table (clearly under their watchful gaze) and only with much persuasion, allowed us top up the glass with the remainder once son number one had managed a few sips. At £5.50 a pop, you wanted to make sure you consumed every drop.
