The Performers

With all of the "talent" shows on TV ( The Voice, So You Think You Can Dance?, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, Americas Got Talent, etc. etc...., how long did you think it would take the birds to get into the act?

The grackles (a form of starling or blackbird) were a-crackling.

The singer on the left went first. Before performing, he had to get in a few barbs. "Step aside twinkletoes...let a real bird perform! One more..."I've watched Singing in the Rain through a big picture window...and you...my friend...are no Fred Astaire!!!" OUCH! He then broke into his favorite love song...from a group called The Association. "You wonder if this heart of mine...will lose its desire for you (ba-da-da-da...da)...never my love...never my love." Watching...I got a small lump in my throat.

Twas the dancers turn. He thought time was of the essence, so he skipped the barbs, and went right for the babe. "My nickname is Art...as in Arthur Murray! Watch these moves...Sugar... I put the charge in SUPERcharge! Can you get me a white glove for my claw? PICK ME, and I'll put some crackle in your grackle!

Just like some of the judges on the TV programs...Gertie the grackle was not impressed. She flew off...leaving the 2 boys to entertain themselves.

Editing note: I would like to say that this picture came right out of the camera. It is actually the same bird. Come to find out...he was both a singer and a dancer. I couldn't resist putting them in the same picture.
