Whistle Stop Tour

We are on a whistle stop tour of Yorkshire and the North East in the next 36 hours. The boy and girl were plucked from their beds early this morning - still asleep - and dumped into the car along with their duvets and pillows whilst we drove to visit relatives.

First stop to see Granny and Grandad who have not been so good lately but who were looking much better than anticipated. That was a relief. Managed a quick walk to take in some fresh air before heading off out to eat. We stayed over with Auntie Julie and Uncle Colin before heading back to G&G in the morning.

A quick lunch and then up the road to Newcastle to allow the boys and grandad to see their team as a birthday treat. The girls were rewarded with a bit of retail.

It's amazing what you can squeeze into such a little time - and more importantly what you can get out of it. It feels like we almost had a proper break. Big tick.
