Horrid Hill
What else would you do when you find a rusty old boat?
This is at Horrid Hill, an island in the River Medway. You can walk to it from Gillingham's Riverside Country Park. Apparently it was used by smugglers and prisoners who escaped to it from the prison boats moored at Chatham. The escaped prisoners were hanged as a warning to others hence this place being called Horrid Hill.
