Two's company

We met these ponies on our walk today, going north from Peebles along a track contouring a hillside parallel to the Edinburgh road and then crossing the road and climbing up to return to Peebles over hills the other side of the road. There are great views without a huge amount of effort - I'm very keen on that kind of walk.

I think these may be Exmoor ponies, but I'm sure someone out there will know better than me. They came to greet us, hoping we would have carrots or apples no doubt but they let us continue on our way without too much trouble when we didn't oblige. Actually, there were more than three ponies - I just thought that made a better title for this blip.
