The chase

We both had fun trying to get pictures of the birds on the boat pond at Rouken Glen Park today. Obliging tots were feeding them so they were within easy range. There were black-headed gulls, noisy and quarrelsome with themselves and other birds. They grabbed bread from ducks and coots but they were wary of tangling with the one swan.

The swan took an ill will at this hapless mallard and chased it around the pond until it took shelter among the overhanging branches at the island.
