Musket shot.

At the main door of the Kirk of Calder there is evidence of musket shot on the walls. This was when Cromwells troops were billeted in the church.
General Tam Dalzell aslo stabled horses in the church during the covenanting times.
The great Marquis of Montrose is said to have passed through the village. What with trials for witches and murderers, reformation troubles, covenanters and conventicles this building has seen it all.
