Champagne Darling?

Today we're in Reims in the Champagne region of France with my in-laws for an overnight visit.

We drove along the Champagne route through the vineyards, and had a picnic with a fantastic view before coming to our hotel in the centre of Reims.

We walked through the town up to the Cathedral, stopping off for a glass of Champagne en-route, afterall it would be rude not to!

I was going to blip our glasses of champagne, but when I was looking through the pics I've taken today, this one made me laugh! It looks like I've super-imposed a big bottle of champagne onto this photo, but it is real! It's an advertisement for one of the shops opposite the Cathedral that has tables outside and serves champagne by the glass.

Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn't sit there, but we did buy a bottle to take back to the hotel room - it was very nice!
