Cows and Calf

The 3 ladies (and 2 dogs) that walked this morning in the cold and pouring rain were in the process of wondering why we do it - when we discovered this sight.

The cow who is feeding had given birth to twins whilst the other just a singleton. The other 2 calves were nearby sheltering against the field wall. We reckon the calves were 2 or 3 days old.

After seeing this, only 10 minutes into the walk, we stopped complaining about the weather and reverted to our normal "it's good to walk" mode!
