Akaroa Harbour

This is Akaroa Harbour towards the top. The 'island' in the middle is Onawe Historic Reserve - I haven't visited it yet but the road to it runs from Barry's Bay and Barry's Bay cheese factory is right at the turnoff so I can feel that a visit is iminent.

Kiwilizzie has joined Sebastian and i today and we've come over to Le Bons Bay for a few days. We've only been here a couple of hours and already I've seen bellbirds, fantails and tuis. And I've photographed grey warblers (crap photos) and red admirals. We've certainly chosen a great place to stay this time, on a farm with no other houses in sight - except for the original farmhouse that is totally unhabitable next door.
