Have a Happy Easter ... or else!!

...or else the Common Grackle (quiscalus quiscula) will stomp on you!

Haven't seen a grackle in a month or so and did a double take when I saw this one flitting around the cherry tree this morning. He seemed to be dancing around, trying to decide if he was really brave enough to hop up to the deck water trough. So here you have him doing the grackle version of the hokey pokey.

The blue jays wanted to send their very est for a happy Easter, or happy Passover or a Happy Sunday, whichever you choose - they are non partisan, as you may know...

I'm off to safely dispose of the two fluorescent lights that I just broke in the garage. Don't ask. Embarrassing.
