Putting up my feet ...

...after an early start to the day in order to cook Easter Sunday lunch for 15. In the end there were only 12 of us as two were ill and one could not join us. It's much easier to fit 12 round the table - but not easy!

It was lovely to see everyone, the plates were emptied, the Easter bunny left some chocolate eggs for us to find and some of us had a short walk in the afternoon.

Now I have the sad feeling you get when your children go away again, but am glad to have seen our older son and be able to put my feet up and read my book - Treasure Islands by Pamela Stephenson about a sailing trip among the Pacific Islands in the footsteps of Louis and Fanny Stevenson.
