The stuff of legends

Off to my mother's today for an easter feast. We took along a home made banoffee pie.

It is from a recipe I found many years ago and it has evolved into something so delicious it is requested at every family 'bring a plate' party along with my aunt's tiramisu and my nonna's Italian potato salad.
