Heavy Lifting

With the cloud base struggling to reach 30 metres, a day in the hills seemed pointless, certainly viewless, exercise so we had a look at Preston Marina (nee Docks). Once a thriving commercial enterprise the docks are now part of the leisure industry but thriving may no longer be applicable.

A steam railway runs along one side of the basin and shares the swing bridge with the road at the end of the basin
