Easter eggs!

Looking after the hens next door this weekend. This morning they had obligingly laid 2 eggs ready for Easter day collection. Made a batch of lemon curd this morning as there are lots of lovely eggs to be used. The colour is really good.
Dull day but reasonably mild. Prepared the Easter meal curtesy of Good Food's Spring roast chicken suggestion. Walked the fields in the afternoon and it was nice to be outside and noting the changing hedgerows. The Blackthorn blossom is turning the hedges white so plenty of sloes for the Autumn!
Went along to chapel for the Easter service, I've had to miss one or two recently so nice to catch up with people. Putting the final touches to dinner so now looking for my pre-prandial sherry. Happy Easter everyone.
