Scaling the Volcano
Up early (as always) with the CEO. Breakfast, dressed and up Arthur Seat. Sharpish...
Unfortunately quite a lot of other people had the same idea. It was Easter Sunday, after all... So loads of people lobbing (?) eggs down the hill. Some hand painted. Some chocolate.
We didn't take any, but a kindly dog walker gave the CEO one of her eggs. And he duly lobbed it down the cliff for the crows below.
Two things I find quite disturbing about this. I think the significance of the action is slightly lost. Not really my churchy stuff, I presume the boulder rolled away and wasn't lobbed. Secondly, if crows eat egg, does this make them cannibals?
Anyway, Arthur Seat on Easter... Still a great walk, with stunning vistas. But bring a crash helmet or be vigilent. You never know where the next hard boiled egg will fall from...
We dodged them by doing rolly-pollies all the way down the hill.
