Old Water Heater

We are scheduled to start a mini-vacation tomorrow. The clothes need washed, the dog needs a bath, the dishwasher needs it's last running before we leave, and we both want a shower before bed so what better time for the hot water heater to spring a huge leak and flood the basement.
You can see the puddle at the bottom right of the tank and all the rust-colored sediment on the floor.
While I disconnected this one, Missy Ann went out and purchased it's replacement and by 9PM we had hot water again.
