Pizza?

This love child has been cooking up concoctions since she was a wee thing, and one item that is tops on the list is pizza...barbecued pizza. Cooked on a hot charcoal grill and made from my favorite homemade pizza dough.

The question around here today was whether or not this was a "real" pizza???

Kale sauteed in olive oil, with a touch of garlic and hot pepper flakes. Rounded out with toasted walnuts, bits of hot turkey sausage, and finished off with chopped red onion, grated Parmesan and fresh mozzarella. A final drizzle of EVOO did the trick and sent this pizza into my memory of favorite treats.

Today was my daughter's 22nd birthday, and she celebrated it with a friend in New York City. They ate lunch at "S'mack", which has fantastic Mac & Cheese. The perfect comfort food for someone who just had a wisdom tooth extracted.

I just heard from her, and she is about to watch the flick "Roman Holiday," which stars her favorite, Audrey Hepburn.

As long as she is happy, I'm happy. Pizza or not.
