World Wide Easter

OK, I admit, I am not an ubergreen, however this makes even me thinking: why exactly do we need to get rosemary and spring onion from the other end of the world? As far as I know, they manage to grow even in Scotland, but definitely in the southern bit of this island.

I must admit, I was very careless and never had a look at the onions. Will do next time. However have raised the above question regarding the rosemary and tried to find some with less airmile points, but haven't managed. So now I am cooking a very international lamb dish. Happy to report the potato and the challots are Scottish and English. Just hoping they won't have a fight on the plate! ;-)
