My birthday
Today is my birthday. I have had the BEST day. Started with my family making me banana pancakes for breakfast, and the sun decided to play ball, so we ate them outside.
We then did a bit of essential shopping, in different directions, so that the Easter bunny was well stocked for tomorrow. It also gave me the opportunity to find out I didn't know how to fill my car up with fuel. It took three of us, before the petrol station attendant was free to come and show us all up.
We went through to Clevedon for lunch, on route seeing 2 mobile speed cameras and 5 cop cars (so much action around this area lately!) We met my parents there and had a leisurely lunch.
Came home for coffee and cake, which my family had made (see the picture). It is DELICIOUS! The Eldest decorated the right side, and the Youngest did the left side. The Youngest claims she was inspired by her favourite painting at the Tate Liverpool. I can see it!
At 5pm, my two pals, Jo and Michelle appeared with bubbles and cake, and some rather fetching decorations for me. The cake was LUSH! They allowed us all to have some, and then bundled me in the car, wearing comfortable clothes and take a cardi.
They had bought us tickets to Night Rides at Rainbow's End, a local theme park. My god, it was so much fun!!! We went on everything bar the bumper boats (which stank of two stroke, and not in a good way) and the canam cars (which were closed).
We went through to Botany for dinner afterwards, and it was just a sensational birthday. Here's to lovely family and fabulous friends!
