Still can't get used to falling leaves in Spring!

Every year it amazes me in the spring that the trees in our garden loose their leaves, takes about 5 weeks for the tree to become completely bare and then within another couple of weeks it will be green again with fresh new leaves. The first spring here I thought the tree was dying until I noticed that many other trees were behaving the same way. In this photo you can see the tree in our garden almost bare plus another in the background in a neighbour's garden in the same state. I guess the new buds push off the old leaves as there are tons of buds on the tree.

Also never get used to the bedding plants appearing in October and blooming all winter and then being dug up in March. Guess that's life in a desert country!
