Soft Bristles

There are so many interesting cacti, trees and plants to see in my neighborhood. This is the flowering tip of a small tree in my next door neighbor's front yard.

I don't know what it's called because I didn't want to bother Elaine again. Yesterday, when I was trying to identify the Hedgehog cactus, I stopped by for help. But I caught her resting because she was sick.

The flowers are soft and light and move easily in the wind. The leaves have an almost waxy feel, much like the Monster cactus in my yard - which just looks waxy, I don't dare TOUCH it!

If I were to guess, I'd think it was a bottlebrush.
