The Picnic is king

What do people in the countryside do on Easter Saturday?

They dress in their tweeds and finery, drive in their thousands in large 4 by 4s to a predetermined, large field, park in close ranks, crack open a bottle or ten, haul out huge wicker picnic hampers, and commune with friends that they usually meet at cocktail parties and school sports day.

The picnic is king, and many don't even notice the horse racing.

Today it was bleeping freezing.
