A day of dogs

I have never seen so many dogs in Keswick. It was busy, and just about everyone seemed to be accessorised with a doggy companion. We had a lovely lunch in the Dog and Gun, a '100% dog friendly pub'. They sell bags of dog treats along with the home cooked meals.

We then walked through the town to the lake side where Wicket was delighted to be off the lead to graze on as much sheep poo as he could find!

He did try a bit of a paddle but it became clear that he is not really a water dog. What I am really pleased about is he demonstrated fantastic recall, returning very quickly for the most part, even when what he really wanted to do was play with the new dog!
