Two Little Dwarfs
After a lunch at the border (Taco Bell)...my daughter Karen and I took little Merrick to see the new baby goats. With 2 Diet Mountain Dews under my belt...I was raring to go.
Merrick was not that interested in the babies. We had to corner one in the outdoor area so Mom could give the boy a close-up. A quick pet of the pet, and that was enough for him. He did like running around the grounds picking up rocks, and throwing a couple of golf balls into my sisters pond. Maybe next year he will be more enthralled with the goats.
As you can see from the angle of the picture...I was flat down on my side...laying in the straw. I now understand the song...Turkey in the straw. I just figured ...a little goat poop never hurt anybody.
The goats are way beyond cute. I hate the word...but they are UBER-cute. The littlest ones were content to just rest. My sister wasn't home, so I don't know when they were born, or their names. Until I find out...these 2 are going to be Buster and Berthie.
Take a look at my flickr page to see a few more shots. My brother-in-laws barn is the barn of a hunter. From the horns I could see...I counted 28 sets. The bigger goat babies were almost totally black, and that's my two babies watching the goat babies.
Sign of the day. At a garden center/nursery. IT'S SPRING! WE'RE SO EXCITED WE WET OUR PLANTS! It didn't make me snort, but I did smile.
Watching the Masters golf tourney. GO FREDDY COUPLES! (Old guy.) Hope everybody has a great weekend.
