French melon

When I was a very young teenager my mother bought me a summer dress this colour. She would call it 'your dress melon frances'. I didn't know why she gave so much importance to the colour of my dress, what was so special about it. Now I think I know.
We spent a lovely  Palm Sunday in Aix-en-Provence. The weather was perfect, the colours brilliant and the food delicious!!
