Just a few minutes old

This is Alice and her two new daughters born 6am this morning. As you can see the bigger one is already on her feet. I suppose because in the wild they would need to be able to move with the herd, kids are up and about almost at once.

Alice (and her daughters) is a Pure Toggenburg which means that she is directly descended from goats imported from the Toggenburg area of Switzerland. This is different from British Toggenburgs which are the result of early crossing of Toggenburgs with native British goats. If Alice had been mated to a British Toggenburg her daughters would have been BTs not Toggs.
