Thursday: Foreign Arrivals

K. came back after a week in the UK so I went to the airport to pick her up.  I find foreign airports really intriguing - names from a different part of the world that appear so casually.  Anyway, I'm glad she's back - it's been very quiet here this last week.

Work does place some great pressures on me sometimes.  This afternoon, I was invited to the local critics' screening of 'The Exotic Marigold Hotel'.  It was the first showing for Croatian critics and will be on general release here next week.  I mean, what a difficult decision - an afternoon in the office, or an afternoon at the movies.  Anyway, it was thoroughly charming film!  And I say next to the guy who was been translating the 'Game of Thrones' books into Croatian!  I haven't read them but K. is a big fan.
