King Street, South Shields

I've been back to the town of my birth today on Union business.

When I was a kid big red double decker buses used to run up and down this street, now it's like every other town centre I've to. Pedestrianised and full of charity shops. This one has three Greggs shops in the space of quarter of a mile.

It was bright and Sunny but very cold. This is taken looking east towards the North Sea looking down King Street into Ocean Road ( the street with possibly the most Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants in the North East)
