Out in the Boondocks

Went for a drive with my parents out to where my mom is from. It's what you would call "the Boondocks" but in a good way. I don't know when I will ever get back there again with the move to Seattle so I wanted to make a special trip.

I got to photograph lots of interesting things today - we explored old abondoned houses that my great-great-grandparents lived in and an old one-room schoolhouse that my grandfather went to in the 1880s.

But, when it came to blip, I chose this old hounddog in the road. It's just the kind of place where an old hounddog can stand in the road for a photograph.
