To the woods, to the woods
We're entertaining grandson Ben today (half term hols). It's 4 degrees and dull but that doesn't deter him and me setting off on a long walk to explore a local nature reserve for a couple of hours, complete with a drink and biscuits (and camera).
The pair of woodcock which startled us by rising noisily just in front of us were far too quick for the camera. And all the rest of the wildlife was keeping itself to itself, apart from the high-rise buzzards and a handful of crows.
At the risk of adding yet more to my picture collection of trees and walls, here is my daily Blip trying to be representative of the outing. It would have been better with a bit of sun of course. But blipping duty calls.
On return home, Ben was confronted with his amazing birthday present (see 1st April) - loads of stuff to play with. He was happy for hours.
