Penguins

As it was likely to be the last day of nice weather, we made a last minute decision to go out somewhere for the day. We headed to Edinburgh Zoo, but by the time we got there, it was lunchtime and O needed fed. Due to everyone having the cold, no-one had much sleep either, so H was already getting tired.

The Panda viewings were full for the day, so we didn't get to see them. And there was a bit too much walking involved for a tired H, so we didn't actually make it to the lions and zebras at the very top of the hilly zoo! So we had to make do with lots of birds, the play park, and half a tiger (you could only see it's tail!) The cost of the food in the cafe was ridiculous too - if we had had time, we would have taken a picnic. So overall, not a very successful visit, and a bit of a waste of money. We definitely need to ensure that H isn't tired and ill when we do these things as she is not very co-operative when she's under the weather which means that no-one enjoys the experience! But, if we hadn't done something we would have regretted wasting the nice weather so glad we went anyway.
