Extra Virginity

I am a Food Literature junkie. As I was walking down Broadway tonight I went past the Olive Oil store (yeah there is such a thing) and there in the store window was this gem beckoning me. Thank heavens the store was closed. I might have spent money I do not have. There is good news - the library has 42 copies of this book and I am now number 43 on the hold list!

I went out to the ponds tonight for a volunteer orientation at the Watershed council offices. After I went out to check on the owls and just as it got dark they all flew from the fir tree they spend the day in to one of the big cottonwoods that does not have any leaves yet. It was so cool to see them fly, one by one, all three babies and the parent as well.
