The 'young pretender'....

Ok, not so young, and whilst he will always only ever be a pretender to the position of frontman of the greatest and most under-rated rock and roll band of all time, Ricky Warwick has revitalised Thin Lizzy, adding an extra layer of guitar and brought a new lease of life to what had become to all intents and purposes a tribute band. LH has seen them countless times, as although it can never be what it once was, the music of Phil Lynott is timeless. .

Got the new album for my birthday. Kept back from buying the last live album with John Sykes at the mic in case I'd be disappointed, but this Warwick fronted version is a decent addition to the Lizzy canon.

I like the way they have tried to modernise and replicate the classic 'Live and Dangerous' cover... but there'll only ever be one 'Live and Dangerous'.
